I hope you're enjoying some Fall weather. Do you have any reasons to add to this list? I'd love to hear from you!
Ten Reasons Fall is a Great Time for Romance
- Nights are longer. Yep, the cover of darkness is a great way to start some wicked fun with each other. Even better: add some candlelight.
- Cooler weather means snuggling to keep warm. Whether it’s in front of a fire, cuddling under a quilt, or body-to-body heat, a person’s gotta keep warm by whatever means they can.
- Cinnamon is a terrific aphrodisiac and, conveniently, it’s an ingredient in lots of fall dishes like pumpkin pie and pumpkin latte. Hey…cinnamon flavored, edible lotion anyone?
- The bugs are gone. You and your honey can have a romantic picnic in the park without the added protein of ants, flies and bees.
- The heat and humidity are gone, and now you can and your significant other can go for a nice, long romantic walk. Bonus: holding hands will keep you warm on the inside and out.
- Football! You don’t have to be a “football widow.” Learn the game—it’s actually really fun and you get to watch muscular guys in tight pants.
- Colorful leaves are not only gorgeous to look at, you’ll have a blast jumping into a pile of them, too. Careful of sticks! And be sure to “help” each other clean out the leaves that slip under your shirt or inside your jeans.
- Flannel. Need I say more? Feels so good against bare skin. Flannel sheets, men’s flannel shirts…
- Fire. Fall is the time of year to huddle close together in front of the fireplace with a crackling fire, a glass of apple cider, mulled wine or how about pumpkin beer?
- More clothes. Yes…I know. This sounds very un-romantic, doesn’t it? Nope! Think of it this way: each layer is part of the slow strip tease that will drive your partner wild in anticipation.
